My Summary of Rift

I've been playing since the final beta and then since the launch of headstart and I am really impressed with what is going on here.

The dynamic content is great fun. My character just seems to be so busy all the time that I actually have to make real choices, about where to invest my in game time. Something WoW is lacking right now. As the game has opened up and revealed itself, it has really really grown on me. Ok, the queues are a little bit of a chore right now but bearable.

It's been a couple or three years since I really got stuck and fell in love with an MMO and gleaned this much enjoyment from it (TBC WoW).I'd never even heard of Trion Worlds and I've been gaming for 10+ years. Rest assured from here on in, I'll be on the lookout for buying shares. The impact of this game on other MMO developers is going to be felt very hard indeed and that is testament to the quality of product on offer here.

I think anyone with any real cause for complaint needs to take a good look at themselves because Trion are setting benchmarks here. They have also conducted themselves in a far more ethical and professional yet down to earth manner than many other developers in the genre. They are to be commended for that, not harangued and harassed at every juncture from serial complainers.

Credit where credit is due and it's due in abundance here. Rift is slowly becoming my choice of poison.

  15. I wish Rift would come out for Mac, I don't feel like reinstalling/redownloading Win7 via dual boot :P
Glad to see everyone is enjoying it though, might switch if I get a trial or something!

  19. Rift is pretty fun, I played a bit of the beta and I'd probably keep playing on live but I'm already hooked on WoW and quite frankly don't have the time to play two MMOs.

  20. I almost picked it up, I got into the Beta but decided to try out champions online instead. I'm just not really in the mood to dedicate to a new MMORPG, considering I'm shipping off to basic soon.
